  I don`t normally trust mechanics and I typically do my own mechanical work, but when I had a fire under the hood of my disco 2 that burned many wires, I took it to silk cat. The guys at silk cat were great about answering all my questions. They even found a tonne of cheap used parts to do the repairs with. I've now had the vehicle back for about 3 months and have had no issues to date with the electrical repairs. They even seem to get cheaper OEM parts than other local mechanics as well. Greg and Amir are both very easy to deal with and its obvious why they have been in business as long as they have. I would recommend Silk Cat to anyone with a British vehicle looking for an honest mechanic at a good price.

  I experienced a flood in the storage area of my condo and needed a copy of a receipt for over $3000.00 in services I had paid to Silk Cat Auto. A small portion of the business I had done with them over the years for ok service at a premium price. Interestingly, I had to ask a few companies for copies of receipts, many of which I had spent a lot less with than I had with Silk Cat Auto. All the other companies went out of their way to be super helpful and I am so grateful for their assistance. Not the case with Silk Cat. They had the receipt but made it very clear it was too much hassle to provide a copy. In fact, another customer told me that Silk Cat told them I had asked for a copy of the receipt...weird!

  The funny part is that the guy was giving me a great speech about honesty however he did not do all what he promised me to fix and charge me so much money that I just realize that dealership itself will charge me less !
