A few moments after our phone call, thinking this isn't a nice way to treat customers or anybody for that matter, I sent an email saying I'm not at all interesting in booking at Squamish Valley anymore and would rather stay at a campground with employees who treat people with kindness and respect. I asked him to consider the next customer he speaks with as he was very very rude.

Please note: this isn't a review about my stay at Squamish Valley Campground but rather my experience trying to book a reservation. This is my first ever online review for anything. I'm not one to complain however I think people should know my experience:

Still had a great time and went swimming in river.

Very basic site, no assigned plots. No access to running water for cleaning and showers. Amazing river and mountain views make this place worth it.

As you may discover, you need to book online in order to reserve a campsite ahead of time. There were problems with my e-transfer to secure our spot and the booking agent (Ali) told me that he has "had enough". I tried sending them money twice and apparently that was enough to disregard my attempt at booking. They said the password to my e-transfer wasn't working, which I have no idea why because I told them the password twice. Things can happen with banks but that isn't the problem here and that is neither of our faults.

I've been coming here since the week it opened. Its rare to find a campground that actually feels like wilderness camping these days. You can have a true family getaway in the woods. Ali and his family are great hosts.

Very poorly (if at all) maintained campground. Feels like you're staying in the middle of a construction site. Campers leave garbage in the forest and garbages aren't properly bear-proofed. Also port-a-potties aren't cleaned out very often. The owner said we had to book for 3 nights to get a reservation (not a long weekend or anything) then when we showed up the place was 70% empty. He claimed that everyone canceled, but remarkably every other campground in the area still managed to remain full. It is also unreasonably expensive. Warning: they charges per person per night, so a group of 6 is $90 a night, plus parking. Further to that, there's no enforcement on any policy for garbage, noise, etc. As a result, this place is nothing like a real campground- just a dirty garbage dump. There's not really much to do here during the day either- you'll want to get away. Please do not stay here- this campground has no respect for the environment and is just looking to make a quick buck.

Difficult to call this a campground, no facility, toilets are pitstop and sites are not defined. The owner parked us with three other RV on 100m2 area but the rest of the campground was empty. The "site" was cover with old food and garbages (surprisingly in a bear country). Price are extremely high ($60 for 4 per night) when considering the quality of the campground. The owner's wife was very nice and the view with the mountains and the river is beautiful but not enough to compensate the negative sides. We weren't expecting a four stars campground but this was below everything we saw before in Canada. We will for sure not go there again.

I decided to call, thinking I could give my credit card info over the phone to book (as I have in the past). He answers the phone and says he has spent too much time on my reservation, he has other things to do and there are others who are calling. Shocked by his tone, I said well I'm sorry you have spent more time than you planned however a friend of mine recommended this campsite and I just wanted to stay there on my vacation. I asked if I could book over the phone and he said no. I said maybe my partner could try from his online banking and the agent then hung up on me.
